The process of securing employment with Portneuf Medical Center includes the following:
Register today to schedule an interview with one of our career counselors to discuss the job training program, the program schedule, and the employers requirements for hiring. Once you are qualified, you will be registered into the secure Job Portal and be provided access to the program materials.
Portneuf Medical Center provides candidates the opportunity to complete the following three (3) parts:
ONLINE COURSE
This FREE online course will teach you how to be a successful healthcare worker with Portneuf Medical Center. You can do it at your own pace, and work on it anytime and anywhere. Portneuf Medical Center gives you the opportunity to learn what you need to know for no cost.
INSTRUCTOR LECTURES
The Portneuf Medical Center job placement program offers extra instructor lectures with healthcare professionals. These lectures can teach you what you need to know to become a healthcare worker.
HANDS-ON LABS
In-person hands-on labs are scheduled in your area to give you the chance to practice the clinical skills needed in the healthcare field.
Upon completion of your 3 Part Job Training program, a Ready To Work Advisor, will work with you individually to complete the following:

RESUME
Your advisor will work with you to finalize your resume to ensure your work history, education and other important elements are included in your resume.
OPEN JOB POSITION REVIEW
Your advisor will work with you to identify the open positions and locations that you would like to apply for job placement.
APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Based on your review of the open positions you would like to apply for, your Ready To Work Advisor will work with you to finalize your application submission and help you apply for the jobs that are of interest to you.
APPLICATION TRACKING AND FOLLOW-UP
After you have applied, your advisor will work with the hiring employer to ensure your application is being quickly reviewed including updates on future interviews, phone screenings, background checks and other items necessary for your job placement.
After you Register, check your email for your credentials to access the secure Job Portal.
The Ready to Work Job Placement program is FREE. This job placement program is fully funded so you can use the online course, instructor lectures, and hands-on labs without having to pay anything.

Once you have registered for the Job Placement program and accessed the secured Job Placement Portal, you can immediately begin your 3 Part Job Training program and complete the program and be ready for placement in as little as 30 days.
The starting rate of pay for Surgical Technologists is $20.40 per hour with additional pay offered for prior related experience. Competitive pay, student loan repayment, and benefits package including Health/Dental/Vision/401(k) match. Generous paid time off, holidays, extended illness bank, paid basic life insurance and long-term disability.

No. The Instructor Lectures are not necessary, but they can help you with the Job Placement program. Healthcare teachers will explain the course material to you and answer any questions that you have.
Yes. If you’re not working as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomist, or another type of healthcare worker right now, you’ll need to go to the in-person labs in your area.
Yes. After you successfully completed your program, you will be provided the opportunity to take a national and/or state certification exam. Your RTW advisor will work with you to complete the necessary steps to sit for your exam.
Yes. As part of the RTW Job Placement program, candidates have access to advisors to help you finish your resume and get it ready to give to employers.
After the 3 Part Job Training program is complete, a Ready To Work Advisor will help you with the following:

Yes, there are other employers in your area who are hiring for similar positions besides our sponsoring employer partner. If you complete the 3 Part Job Training program, pass a background check, and meet other requirements, you can get a job as a healthcare professional in your area.
No, you might not be placed with our sponsoring employer partner if there are certain things that prevent it. However, we will help you find another employer in your area to work for if that happens.
